So, am I the only one who has to keep not putting things into her Yuletide story because they would make my authorship so completely obvious to any readers who know me? No? Well, carry on.

I admit to thinking "It would be nice if I got a fandom where, due to 'verse and/or timeline, Bruce Springsteen references were actually impossible." Won't say whether I got it or not :).

Hee. Last year I played "Guess which story I wrote" and pretty much everyone picked stories that were way more like what I usually write than my actual story was.

How fun! Let's all play that again this year! Though, again, with almost 900 stories, even with overlapping fandoms, there are going to be an awful lot of "darn, hadn't read that one yet" responses at the Big Reveal.

...still more excited about Yuletide than anything else. Though I'm also pretty excited about next week's Supernatural. Every time I think they forgot about the ridiculous thing about Dean being supposed to be a murderer and dead, they pull me back in.

Sure! You just can't confirm or deny until after the Yuletide reveal. :)

I'm so amazed! I mean, that was the stupidest plot point EVER, and I would have been happy if they'd forgotten it had ever happened, and instead they've actually tried to use it when it would come up! It is awesome.

You're writing already? Damn! I suppose that's what comes of being cautious in your choices about what to offer. It's going to take me at least a week just to re-familiarize myself with the source material for my request, *then* I need to come up with an idea, and *then* I need to write it.

I had to re-familiarize myself as well, but it was already fairly familiar (due to, as you guessed, not having picked all that many fandoms), then I obsessed about it for several days, with reference to what my recipient wanted, then I got an idea, then I quickly began writing before I could forget what the idea was.

I love my yuletide icons.

I bought the book I'm published in yesterday. In a real bookstore. With my name in it! And I gave it to a friend as a vanity housewarming present.
