Things I am looking forward to:

1. A response from a certain editor.

2. Wiscon reports.

3. A parrot of DOOM.

4. A-Kon.

5. Japan.

6. Mushishi # 2, Nana # 6, Bleach # 20, Eternal Sabbath # 5, Her Majesty's Dog # 7, and Viz putting out all the Naruto manga up to the timeskip.

7. Heroes season 2.

Things I probably should not have bought, or at least not in such quantity, due to it being only my second day off in about two months and happening to pass by a candy store while on my way to eat OK fried chicken at Knotts Berry Farm, before my friends realized I had gone berserk and removed me:

1. Peppermint salt water taffy
2. Root beer float salt water taffy
3. Maple sugar candy
4. Chocolate-and-candy-coated sunflower seeds
5. Malt balls
6. Yogurt-coated mini-pretzels
7. Root beer candy sticks
8. Assorted Jelly Belly jelly beans
9. Berry-flavored gummy things with covered with teeny candy balls
10. Mint nonpareils
11. Chocolate pebbles

This, after yesterday buying Thai sweets and also hard candies enclosing salted plum bits. Perhaps I have some sort of deficiency. A CANDY deficiency.

Ooh, I love those berry things.

Man, I miss A-Kon. Those were the days.

Now I don't feel quite so bad about the pile of popcorn, Reese's Pieces, and Twizzlers that I just helped my family devour this evening while watching Shrek the Third ... .

The sunflower seeds are deadly addictive.

I often think of buying salt water taffy when I see the places with SALT WATER TAFFY painted on a board out front, but keep assuring myself it will not be as I remember it. Is the taffy good? I also liked peanut butter taffy (it had a dab of peanut butter in the middle).

A candy deficiency! I believe I suffer from that as well. Perhaps you need some lemon chewy not-gum to add to your stash?

I kept binging on chocolate-covered sunflower seeds when I was in Korea (they're average convenience store candy there). Soooo good.

This past weekend I had a taste of a yummy slushy: dried salted plum! I was very tempted to go get my own. I successfully resisted, but I know next time I am in that neighborhood, I will gleefully succumb.

Oh yeah! Well, I have to confirm that one.

And the Virginia Avenue Project! (The kid mentoring theatre summer camp thing.)

I am counting the days until Yotsuba&! 4 comes out.

And I mean those words literally.

Maple sugar candy! I love that stuff and can never find it anymore. So good.

I'm currently watching the Mushishi anime courtesy of Oyceter. You want I should try to send?

Knott's Berry Farm fried chicken was a family tradition. Ah, good times, good times...
