With the manga Saiyuki 4 already in my possession, I just got the DVDs of the last two discs of the first TV series that I'd ordered from ebay.

I'm a little scared to post this after what happened the last time I wrote about how happy I was, but I have to say, this day just keeps getting better and better.

Want ten pages of Saiyuki doujinshi crossdressing goodness (http://www.sfolse.net/random/saiyuki_doujin01.zip)? (zip file; about 1.8 megs) At least I *think* I managed to scan from page 1 to page 10 of that particular story -- since the Japanese creators have the sheer audacity to write in the language they know and not one I'm familiar with, I can only guess at what looks like the beginning and end.

That story is followed by two I didn't scan; the first involving Gojya sleeping and Sanzo in an apron. O.o And the next one involves a lot of random Saiyuki characters.

Going through this, I can tell you that the difference between amateur and pro comic artists is that when the best pros draw a comic, you can actually tell what is happening without reading the dialogue. I've been downloading the raws of Death Note before the translations come out, and I've found that I can get the gist of what's going on without needing the dialogue. I knew that already, but it's nice to have it confirmed so graphically.

Which reminds me ... I had a thought that I need to email you about in re: your mention of needing a new project. ;)
