FYI, 10K words is likely to be too large for a single post anyway. (It's actually charcount, and I don't know the actual limit, but one runs afoul of it at just the wrong moment.) I suggest breaking the essay in two, with linkies one to the next (and back) at both top and bottom of each post. People will tend to bookmark the first post, so providing your own linkies is key.
