The orgy poll was inspired by reading this fantastic Gundam Wing story, Drift, which has the distinction of being the only orgy story I've ever liked: sweet, hot, plausible, and very very funny. No series spoilers, but as the humor is all character-based, I don't know if it would work if you don't know the series.
Torch's other stories are here. The long stories in "Theory of Flight," and the excellent (not PWP) sex scene outtakes from them in "Theory of Fiction" are quiet, atmospheric, and very well-written. They're spoilery through about episode 16. Of the stand-alone stories, "Winterlong" is a bit sentimental but nice (vaguely spoilery for the end of the series), and "Drift" is excellent. I don't really recommend the others.
I wrote a story about Trowa, Heero, and the relationship between mechanic and machine, Connection. 1700 words, rated G. SPOILERY through episode 21. Part II in the possibly continuing series, "A Boy Loves His Gundam."
snarp has posted scans from a hilarious doujinshi featuring teeny shinigami Duo and suicidal Heero-- a match made in Heaven! Spoilery for episode 25, don't read if you're not there yet. Please go help her if you speak Japanese, she's not sure of some dialogue that I bet is really funny.

Two of my personal favorites of hers are in Phantom Menace -- "Gardening at Night" and "Crystalline"
"Drift" was indeed lovely, and worked perfectly well for me, despite my nearly complete ignorance of Gundam Wing. Thank you for the recommendation!

I really enjoy your story, too. When I first started watching, Heero and Trowa were the two I felt I wanted to spend more time together (after a while I added Wu Fei), and reading this reminded me that I need to start looking for stories. There's a lot which I like in your story... and it works as a whole, so I feel almost guilty for picking it apart, but still...
I love that Trowa refers to Heavyarms as 'he' but to Vaeyate as 'it'.
This cracked me up: "...get Lady Une and Colonel Une to stage a coup against each other." It could be humour or it could be pragmatism, and it works for being right on the brink.
And this: "Sorry," I said. "Maybe they'll let you install your own later."
Such a tragically wonderful insight into what will upset Heero. ^_^
I also like: "I didn't expect him to make it back to the circus, but the palm of a Gundam's hand was a better place for a pilot to die." and the way Trowa can say this so casually because it's simply true.
Whereas this, I love for the rhetoric: "He doesn't have quite the same aura of burning determination to die fighting, die trying, or just die..."
(not that it isn't true, too, but what got me was the way you put it.)
And this: ""Heero," I said, and couldn't think of anything else that was safe to say."... turning a stupid anime convention which annoys the hell out of me into something that is actually meaningful. Nice. :-)
Looking forward to part 2.
