Why is no one commenting on my posts, here or in [livejournal.com profile] telophase's LJ? No one loves me.

Next time I go to a con I think I will cosplay as Heero Yuy, with a box with a big red self-detonation button. And if any fangirls attempt to hug me, I can in-character fend them off with a gun.

I love you but I wouldn't know what most of this manga stuff was if it pissed on my shoe. So my lack of comment is not a lack of love, merely of having anything at all useful (or coherent) to say.

I had a voice-post on Stephanie's LJ about a Texas restaurant with deep-fried everything, including grits, pork chops, and green tomatoes. But I appreciate the love. ;)

Fried green tomatoes are a pleasure.

The idea of deep fried grits, otoh, is enough to make the ghost of my gall bladder weep black tears.

Because we all thought you were a) too busy to think about us, and b) without decent internet access. :)

This thing. Also, people simply don't seem to comment as much on the weekend.

I sent you a virtual hug via text message to telophase at one point! And I am refraining from laughing at your sleepy pic on telophase's LJ!

I think I missed the voice post, curse it!

I will try to wade back and find it, but it seems like everyone on my flist has felt extra chatty this weekend.

And if any fangirls attempt to hug me, I can in-character fend them off with a gun.

That is excellent and sadly necessary.

A friend of mine says one of the great things about dressing up as a cat girl is that it becomes socially acceptable to hiss at people.

You're right! No one is commenting on your posts!

Mostly because I don't know what cosplay is, and was afraid to ask lest I come out as completely out of touch.

Cosplay is the art of dressing up as an anime/video game character! You can cosplay as other sorts of fictional characters as well, but the practice originated in Japan, so it's primarily associated with Japanese fandoms.

(Hi, Rachel! I liked your (pl.) voice-post on Stephanie's LJ. I totally had an extended flashback scene!)

From: [identity profile] tekalynn.livejournal.com

The word is a contraction of "costume play". Basically the Japanese version of "masquerade" at US sf cons. Anime fans started using the term in the late eighties/early nineties and it's become assimilated into the mainstream fandom lexicon over time.

I am not into the fan things, cons, and cosplay that most people are and rarely get to read a book so I don't feel I have anything to offer. Thus the lack of comments from me. But I do read all your posts.

Big Hugs!

I love you! But commenting makes me queasy. Um...your portrait is coming along?

From: [identity profile] marith.livejournal.com

Some of us love you but have extremely tiny brains! We would comment if only OH LOOK A SHINY OVER TH-

(And also colds.)

From: [identity profile] madam-silvertip.livejournal.com

I don't want to bug you. The idea of commenting in anyone's journal when they'd really rather not gives me hives. And with anyone who has a professional identity as an author I see their huge flists and can't imagine my comment being interesting.

But you're one of my heroines.

From: [identity profile] free-the-goats.livejournal.com

I will make an effort to share my love via commenting.
