I've always sort of assumed all the manga-ka in Asia are part of a vast conspiracy; whenever one of them starts publishing a manga which would be remotely appealing to octopedingenue, they e-mail sample jpegs to her so that she will writhe in frustration over all the amazing comics she can't read. It would explain both how she remains so current with not only unlicensed, but also unscanslated manga, despite not living in Japan or as far as I know, being able to read Japanese, and also her abiding and energetic frustration with regards to the untranslated awesomeness.
