Destiny as in, "I'm destined to start my story! Soon!"

No, see, I totally have a topic. I know what I'm going to write! I just have to sit down and do it!

I'm betaing at least 5 stories, 2 of which required my reading/watching the canon so I'd have a clue what I was doing. That counts, right?

Hmmm...I think "Determination" would have been the best option for me. But "Desire" works because I desire the state of being done.

This is my first yuletide and I am loving it, though I think that is because I figured out early on that silly crack with no plot was the way to go with the prompt I got.

Of course, the characters are so much fun to write that it is in danger of becoming endless silly crack with no plot, so I must impose some sort of structure on it in short order.

Aw, there no option for "haven't started, but have a pretty good idea of what I'm writing about and am excited and know it'll come out fine when I finally start it." So, Dream/Desire.

Which is better than 2004 ("ack OMG why did I sign up for every fandom I was vaguely familiar with?") or 2005 ("ack OMG I totally forgot about the fact that I would have finals right before this is due"), although 2006-2007 may have been the best years ("haha, not participating and just reading is the best thing ever").

For values of "participating" equal to "just beta'ed one story, and may do another (which I'm particularly looking forward to)."

I now know THREE people who have finishd early and are doing pinch-hits. They are lovely people and awesome writers. I want to key their cars.

JUST KIDDING

Wow. Within the past hour I have gone from being completely chill about my pinch hit to internally flailing about deadlines courtesy of one email from my boss. Not that I'm upset about having actual, you know, work to do, but the timing is going to make things awkward at best.

I am still at the giddy 'the fic's at beta!' stage. I expect if I do not hear back from El Beta in two more days, I will go from 'giddy' to 'panicky.'

I think my current reaction right now is "AIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" with a heavy side of "FINALS AIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!" and "Woes."

I think Denial should be an option there.

It's certainly where I am, at the moment...

(Not unmixed with delight! I like my prompt and what I've got. I just... really ought to have rather more. La la la this weekend will have to involve some marathoning. Which is how I work best anyway, really.)
