Has anyone posted a review of Hiromi Goto's Half World for this month's book club? I haven't seen any.

My review will go up late this week or early next week, to give you all time to catch up. I know things got holiday-hectic for many of you. I will then post a poll for next month's selection.

Does anyone have a preferred theme and/or books they'd like to nominate? We have so far had "YA sff with an LGBTQ protagonist" and "YA sff by an author of color, with a protagonist of color." Repeat themes are fine, of course.

my copy arrived during finals week and promptly got buried under a pile of "required" books. I'll dig it out when I get home and read it, but not for another week or two.

(I did this with Witch Eyes too; I have a feeling I'll have a nice collection of YA books to read the next time I have free time to do it. Good intentions ...)

I have a copy out from the library, completely coincidentally, but haven't made time to read much of it yet. (I like it so far, but yes, holidays.)

Wow, I got this out from the library without realizing it was the book club's pick. I wonder if the knowledge made it into my subconscious.

Sadly I keep trying to read it as I go to bed, getting creeped out, and vowing to read it at a time that isn't bedtime.

I plan to post a link to my review at the post-gathering post, since I don't have time reread.

Ugh, I totally forgot I was supposed to be reading it. I saw my library did have an ecopy, but then never checked it out. >_<

My review is here (http://mllelaurel.livejournal.com/383143.html).

Both of those themes look good to me!

I fully intended to write my review this evening, but... did not. My preview: started out not liking it so much, ended up liking the end. ;)

Whoops, I forgot that was this month! For some reason I had it set in my head for February. Review will happen . . . whenever I actually get my hands on the book.
