A Quokka Dreeds its Weird

I somehow managed to miss entirely until now that 1) this exists and is on TV, 2) was created by Frank Darabont, 3) is about zombies.

Has anyone seen it? Is it good? Does it have female characters who won't make me throw things at the TV?
