1. I have been unable to read [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie for several months now because many comment threads, I assume because they're so long, crash my computer. I mean crash: the whole system freezes and the only way to unfreeze it is to manually turn it off and restart it. I am not actually looking for technical help with that, unless your suggested fix is incredibly simple or you can come over and fix it yourself.

Here's what I am looking for. There's a post on Oct 11 in which Sasuke announces Naruto's birthday, and apparently Gaara shows up in comments and it is cool. This thread crashes my computer every time. Can someone direct-link me to the part where Gaara shows up? I'm thinking a shorter thread might be OK.

2. What is the name of the Sand sibs' jounin sensei?

3. Can someone with a copy of Saiyuki Reload 4 quote me how Sanzo introduces himself to Goku? It's something like "Genjo Sanzo the third of China." My copy is loaned out.

4. Anyone who can burn me copies of Supernatural season 2 to CD or DVD will get my undying gratitude, or fic of your choice (probably arriving many months later) if you prefer. Or random BPAL imps. Please do not tell me they are easily downloaded. I am not good with that. (See # 1.)

5. I have been using this http://marnanel.org/joule?user=rachelmanija as an easy way to keep track of who's reading my LJ and neurotically obsess that I am boring people when three people unfriend it on the same day. It no longer seems to be operational. Is there something else that does the same thing.

6. I remember that somewhere in Fullmetal Alchemist there is a really, really angsty flashback to Roy at Ishbal, angsting in his tent, possibly with a gun. Oyce thinks I hallucinated it. Does that actually exist, or only in fanfic my head? If it does exist, what episode is it in? (Please do not leave spoilery details in comments.)

In Reload 3, he says "The thirty-first of China. Genjyo Sanzo".

Oh, and maybe you're remembering the FMA movie . . ? I only saw it once, and it made only a fuzzy impression.

From: [identity profile] sophia-helix.livejournal.com

Yeah, Marnanel seems to be dead, woe. You can turn on notifications at the LJ message center for when people friend you but not, alas, for being unfriended. As far as I know, there's no other way to keep track other than just eyeballin g it.

(*is not neurotic about this subject, no way*)

From: [identity profile] rachelmanija.livejournal.com

Thanks, I'll use notifications. That will be much emotionally healthier anyway.

From: [identity profile] thomasyan.livejournal.com

Dang, http://splorg.org:8080/people/tobin/projects/livejournal/rydberg.cgi appears dead, too, and it also tracked both you friend and unfriend you, and also who you friended and unfriended.

From: [identity profile] pling.livejournal.com

That read really weirdly to me, coz Marnanel is not dead, but the machine his webspace is on is temporarily ;)

I believe the machine marnanel.org is hosted on is being fixed, so joule will be back once this has happened, but I'm not sure if they have an eta yet :)

There's definitely a Roy angsting in a tent with a gun; although, I think it may actually be more of a military camp cabin-y thing. I don't remember which episode, but it has to be the first half of the series because that's as far as I've gotten.

From coffeeandink-- spoilers deleted

4. ::cough:: Mailed yesterday.

6. Roy angsts after Ishbal in a crappy apartment, but Hughes shows up in time to talk him out of suicide, in Ep. 25. At some time, possibly in a separate flashback, Marco talks him out of killing himself after [spoiler deleted]. Maybe Ep. 16?

Oh, god, you read cfud? My daughter reads cfud! My worlds are colliding!

Have her direct-link me to the part of the thread when Gaara comes in!

5. You can have LJ notify you when someone friends/unfriends you.

6. Dunno about the series, but in the manga, there's a two-or-so-chapter episode of Roy and Armstrong and Scar at Ishbal, which I believe does include Roy in the Tent using the Angst. This is sometime in the late 50s/early 60s -- I can check tonight for the numbers.

Ack, just saw spoiler-free request--you should probably screen/delete my comment.

You're right. Reposted:

There's a scene where Roy is angsting with a gun, but it's not in a tent. [spoilers deleted] I think this is in episode 15--somewhere around there.

The Sand sibs jounin sensei is called Baki. (Useful hint for fact-checking Naruto: Wikipedia entries tend to be scarily up-to-date.)

Well, I hope this doesn't sound too six-degrees-of-separation, but I'm [livejournal.com profile] schiarire's roommate and a [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie player, and she mentioned that you were looking for the Gaara link, so I dug it up.

Enjoy! (http://community.livejournal.com/campfuckudie/3072137.html?thread=671434889#t671434889) It's still a really long thread from there, but I hope it helps!

From: [identity profile] flemmings.livejournal.com

1) long threads have been crashing me too. The sol'n for me was not to use IE for post-heavy communities.

5) Is lj toys (http://ljtoys.org.uk/) any use to you? Doesn't tell you who's friended you or otherwise, does tell you who's actually reading you, by name if they can identify the ISP number against an lj account. Requires stating mood in each post for tracking and will occasionally not work because they'd like you to pay for the service. Just a *wee* bit kimoi in that stalking the stalkers sort of way.

Isn't LJ Toys the one that uses image loads to get all this info? It fails for those of us who block automatic off-site loading, if so.

FMA

Is this (http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/1569386.html) it? It's from one the gaidens and has Roy and Hughes in Ishbal, but no gun.

It's definitely episode 15, though not in a tent. As proof, I offer a screencap: http://pics.livejournal.com/kate_nepveu/pic/000h1t62/g49

I had been trying not to make more FMA icons, but I came across the picture (I can't remember where, alas) and just couldn't resist after a certain point.

Oh CFUD. I have to block myself from it at work.

And I would answer your FMA and Saiyuki questions, but it looks like they're handled.

Did you ever watch Princess Tutu? Did you like it?

Number 1

http://community.livejournal.com/campfuckudie/3072137.html?thread=671467913#t671467913

I'll suggest clear cache before going in (on IE it is Tools/Options/Delete Files...). Otherwise switch browsers (Firefox), IE hasn't updated in a long while and can't handle most new features.

From: [identity profile] flemmings.livejournal.com

Re: Number 1

And part of the problem for me seemed to be connected with some of lj's new features that slow everything down. I pass on the rec from yesterday:

"some of the new changes LJ implemented--namely, that box that appears when you hover over a LJ user gif--make the site run a little slow. You can turn that option off by visiting the Viewing Options (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/) page and unchecking the "show contextual popup" box."
