Hiking trip

Last weekend Adrian and I went hiking and berry-picking with his friends.

All three of us hiking women wore Keen sandals, which were perfectly surefooted even underwater. Adrian wore old Birkenstocks that he had bought at the BX (Air Force exchange), and slipped and jammed his thumb. Keens win!


I am not sure why the sun does not make Adrian squint. Perhaps he is a Cylon.

Keens are awwwesome. I'm on my third or fourth pair at this point. I love them to death; they have ruined me for all other footwear. Keen makes a really nice light hiking boot, too, for wearing when it's snowy out.

I have it as my icon b/c it looks like a tapir, but the original artist (from the other art in the series) seems to have meant it to be an elephant.

As a middling origamist, I'm fairly forgiving of resemblences you have to squint at to get, but this? This isn't close to an elephant.
