Man, I loved Libby on Wednesday. It's about a middle-school creative writing group and the best part is how wonderfully, believably teenaged all the writing is. The not-even-thinly-disguised pastiches of whatever you were reading at the moment! The Great Roman Fantasy Epic titled "Rainbow in the Dust!"

I just reread Libby on Wednesday last week! It is a book I treasure so. It's not as amazing as it was when I was ten and just wanted to BE HER, but it's pretty damn good.

Wow, I recognized Zilpha Keatley Snyder but I had no idea what Libby on Wednesday was until you guys talked about it, I loved that book and Libby's family and the writing group.
Also, now I totally want to re-read it to see if it held up(possibly the rest of Zilpha Keatley Snyder's too.

Living with Ghosts is really good except for the protagonist, who is an assassin/male prostitute irresistable to every person of any gender who comes into contact with him. Sadly, the protagonist is ... kind of important.

Oh, also, and except for [very spoilery thing] I can tell you if you want.

The prose is good and the Dumas-with-gender-equality-and-shapechangers worldbuilding is fun.

I found the Summoning very frustrating, but readable. I don't remember much except that I thought it suffered for being TSTL at times.

I highly recommend "Living With Ghosts". Think magic and the Three Musketeers set in a fantasy world. It was one of my favorite books last year, and I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel.
