Living with Ghosts is really good except for the protagonist, who is an assassin/male prostitute irresistable to every person of any gender who comes into contact with him. Sadly, the protagonist is ... kind of important.

The prose is good and the Dumas-with-gender-equality-and-shapechangers worldbuilding is fun.
