ETA: Okay, got it. Wow, is that unnecessarily complicated and unintuitive.

I do not understand how this has not come up before, but...

Microsoft Word 2008. Windows XP.

1. How do I format page numbers so each page appears like this Brown/3? (My name/page number.)

2. I can't get it to start numbering on a later page, so that the title page is not numbered. When I tried "start at 2" it just numbered the title page 2!

3. How do I remove page numbers in order to start over? The drop-down menu for "page number" has "remove page numbers" but it's unclickable -- not a possible option.

4. If this is actually something I should do with headers, I can't figure out how to do that either. Also I want this in the upper left corner, and headers doesn't seem to offer that as an option.

I am trying to create a flyer that has tear-off strips at the bottom with my email address.

How do I get JUST my email addresses at the bottom to orient vertically when the rest of the text on the page is horizontal?

I have Microsoft Word. For no apparent reason, the toolbar at the top, without which I cannot do stuff like cut-and-paste, etc, has vanished. If I click "home" it comes back. But when it is present, I cannot actually type in the document. I can only type when the toolbar is gone.

Also, normally once I click "home" the toolbar stays. Now it vanishes as soon as I type anything.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Fixed!
